From the floor plan decisions to the finishing touches, Jeff, Scott and the Design Build crew were extraordinarily conscientious of our goals, which was evidenced through their consulting us regularly when – while in the throes of the work – they developed ideas that might be better for my mother. A couple examples include lowering the overhead kitchen cabinets and brainstorming on ways to lower the kitchen countertops from the standard to better accommodate my mother’s very petite height.

Even when it came to such a simple detail as the installation of the peepholes on the front and back doors, they made a point to measure her height against the door to ensure she could use it.

They were also extremely conscientious of her budget. They work hard to achieve the perfect balance of using quality materials while being mindful of cost and often contacted us before purchase/installation if something rose higher in cost than anticipated. In several cases, they even took the time to research alternatives so that she could decide how best to spend her budgeted funds. There are many more examples of their above-and-beyond service that are too numerous to include here. In short, they did not just blindly complete the build out to get it done and out the door so they could get their money and move on to the next build out.

Although profit must be a goal of any business just to survive, these men (unlike similar claims by companies) truly make the customer and their goals their first priority. In a contract such as the building of a home, you would expect some confrontations/disagreements with the builder from time to time, but here, there were none. The execution of this building contract with them was a pleasure from start to finish and resulted in a customized home for my mother, which came out so much better than we even imagined! My mother was completely elated at move-in time!

This testimony is long as was necessary to adequately express our delight with Design Build. If, however, I was only allotted one word to sum up these men, their company and our experience with them, it would be “integrity.”
